Making History | Nation's First Myology Laboratory Established at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Yesterday

November 30, 2024, is a historic moment for every practitioner of Fu's Subcutaneous Needling. On this day, the Musclesology Laboratory was established at the School of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, Rehabilitation, and Clinical Medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. Its founding marks a new milestone in the field of musclesology research, signifying that the study of musclesology will reach a higher level. It will make greater contributions to advancing the development of musclesology and provide a more solid foundation for related research. With its establishment, we believe that the vision of "Needles Traveling the World, Muscles Moving the Globe" is within reach!

On November 30, 2024, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the School of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, Rehabilitation, and Clinical Medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, the Musclesology Laboratory was officially unveiled during the celebratory event. The ceremony was witnessed by university leaders, faculty and students, as well as distinguished guests from various fields.

Following the unveiling, Fu Zhonghua, Director of the Musclesology Laboratory, took a group photo with members of the Guangdong Fu's Subcutaneous Needling Professional Committee to commemorate this historic moment.

The establishment of the Musclesology Laboratory signifies a new milestone in the field of myology research.

Sun Jian, Executive Director of the Laboratory, stated, "Today marks the grand unveiling of the Musclesology Laboratory, and we are honored to have leaders and distinguished guests from dozens of sister institutions across the country witness this significant moment. On this occasion, we showcased the spirit of all Fu's Subcutaneous Needling practitioners while also sharing our vision for the future direction and aspirations of myology. We firmly believe that through collective efforts, we can make even greater contributions to the advancement of Fu's Subcutaneous Needling and myology, writing a more brilliant chapter in their development."

Zhang Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, Rehabilitation, and Clinical Medicine, remarked, "Dr. Fu Zhonghua's invention of Fu's Subcutaneous Needling has achieved remarkable clinical results. Today, he has established the nation's first Musclesology Laboratory at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. As an industry-academia-research collaboration platform, it will further deepen myology research, expand the discipline's influence, and inject new vitality into the high-quality development of acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, and rehabilitation medicine."

Ms. Wang Xuanyin, a beneficiary of Fu's Subcutaneous Needling, personally shared her connection with the therapy and remarked: "The inauguration of the laboratory is a milestone event, a grand occasion for all practitioners of Fu's Subcutaneous Needling. While the therapy has brought me health, it has also deepened and refined my understanding of muscles and life itself."
